The sport … or rather the passion “martial arts” … pursue and still do something good … that was the motto of the martial arts department “Taishindokan-Budo” of FC 09 Germania Bauchem when on July 13th of this year various martial artists from Germany met in Vrouwenpolder on the Dutch coast for a joint martial arts seminar under the motto “Budo on the Beach” to train the different branches of martial arts with and without weapons on the beach. The seminar was free of charge. Only a donation for children in need was asked, but this was not compulsory.
The organizer of this event, which has now taken place for the third time, was long-time budo teacher Sensei Tom Klein from Geilenkirchen, who has been committed to child protection and violence prevention for many years. In this area he has been working with many schools and daycare centers, especially in the Heinsberg district, for some time. The “Taishindokan Budo Department” also regularly organizes self-assertion courses especially for children, but also for women.
It therefore made sense to send the donation of at least € 200 to an organization that is geared towards child protection. Mr. Kutz, managing director of the Kinderschutzbund in Erkelenz, and his employee thankfully accepted the donation in the presence of the organizer Tom Klein and managing director of FC 09 Germania Bauchem, Mr. Markus Diederen, at the Bauchem community center in Geilenkirchen at Pestalozzistraße 33.
Further projects are planned for the future. Further cooperation cannot be ruled out!
